No matter how old or healthy you are, we all must face our own mortality at some point or another. Stacie’s passion is to come alongside people of all ages to help them to overcome any fear of death before they don’t have a choice but to confront their fear. For instance, she works with young people to help them establish advanced directives and other preparations for a life with peace of mind. She also works with those who are elderly or terminally ill through the challenges of the dying process, in cooperation with their caregiving team, according to the needs and preferences of each individual client.

    More About Stacie

Stacie has a love for people and a desire to help them live well now and every day. She helps them develop strategies for letting go of past regrets and relieving worries about the future. She is a co-host of the Protect Your Noggin podcast and is currently working on a contemporary version of the Tao Te Ching with her partner Dr. Jeff Mallinson, which she applies to her death doula work, as appropriate.

Stacie also knows American Christian culture intimately. That said, she is committed to providing a safe space for all without imposing any of her views on clients, regardless of their religious affiliation (or lack thereof), race, gender, military background, sexual orientation, or views about the afterlife. Her work is about listening and helping clients embrace their own agency. She especially enjoys working with folks who need to overcome anxieties that stem from abusive forms of religion and toxic beliefs that may linger from negative childhood experiences with religious communities. She is neither a mental health professional, nor a medical professional, nor clergy, though, as stated above, she helps clients select and coordinate those services, and she has an extensive network of resources to recommend for those who need them.

Stacie believes that everybody deserves to be free, to be respected and to make decisions for their own lives.
