Stacie rehearsing a customized wedding service on the Oregon Coast.

Spiritual but not religious CEREMONIES

Rites of passage help us mark special moments in our lives. They draw us together with friends and family. As more and more of us get free from the strictures of institutionalized religion, many still long for a sense of sacredness in their special events. We help folks create meaningful ceremonies that are tailored to the values and aesthetic of the folks being honored. Jeff and Stacie are available to officiate ceremonies and Sydnie is available for providing customized floral services. (Discounts apply for folks who combine multiple services).

We primarily serve the Portland and Seattle metro areas, but are open to travel, so long as costs are covered.

Drawing from Jeff’s background as a historian of religion and philosophy (D.Phil. Oxford), and strong knowledge of American religious traditions and their significance, we work with clients to find sensitive ways to navigate family dynamics and interfaith tensions. We are open to anything from the secular & serious to the whimsical & witchy, so long as it brings joy to the folks being honored and is unequivocally affirming of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC guests.

  • Memorial services

  • Coming of age ceremonies (analogous to b-mitzvahs, confirmations, first communions)
