She Is The Tao (Poem)

IMG_1597.jpeg
She is the Tao.
I am the ten thousand things.
She is the Tao.
I am the Spirit.
She is the void.
I am the Spirit.
She is the void.
I’m the vanity
of all vanities.
She is the stillness.
I am the madness.
She is the fullness.
I am the art.
She is the fullness.
I’m an infant’s wail.
She is the formula.
I’m drunk on the emptiness.
She is the formula.
I am the alchemist.
She’s whatever is hovering over the vast, vast surface.
I am the waves on her surface.
She is the
SHE IS THE DEEP.

Note: “Spirit” is how we sometimes translate the Chinese TE, which emerges from TAO and can mean “virtue” as in the virtue of a caffeinated bean.
