A TREAT AND A TRICK (POEM)

Wish to seek the truth?

You shall find it.

But I’ve got a warning

For all those

Who dare to seek it.

If you knock,

the door will open.

But then you’ll face a new decision.

You must choose between two more doors.

One door leads to emancipation

And the shedding of all fear

Through the radiance of love.

The second door leads back

To to how it’s been,

But with the poignant awareness

That you aren’t forced to live this particular life.

You chose this

Because door number one

Was too frightening.

It had a sign that read:

YOU MUST

LOSE ALL

TO ENTER

So, you didn’t go in.

And now as you fall asleep

You worry:

“Have I committed

The Unpardonable Sin?

Which was the trick?

Which was the treat?

What is this loop

I find myself in.”
